Required to cast ZEN. You can only own one at any one time. If you already own a jewel-studded medallion and try to find another, you will either find nothing or find an alternative reward.

  • [New Game + ONLY] If you impress the sergeant in Analand, he will give you a Jewel-Studded Medallion. You can impress him either by casting ZOB or by defeating him while losing at most 1 health.

Sorcery! 3[]

  • In the wreckage of the Klattaman village if you destroyed it with YOB.
  • The Steppes, given by a meditating man on a pole, or looted once he is dead.
  • Crafted by the Klattamen craftsman in exchange for Fistful of Gems or a Jewel-Studded Collar. This will cost you 20 gold OR half your gold (whichever is cheaper). Alternatively you can steal it and not pay anything, though the Klattaman craftsman will attack.
  • Stolen from the Klattamen craftsman if you don't have it and already have the Hewing Axe
  • Obtained by casting HOT near the cat in Tinpang, if you don't have it already. If you already own a jewel-studded medallion you will find a Jewel of gold here instead.

Sorcery! 4[]

  • One of the rewards for completing the treasury is a jewel-studded medallion if you do not already own one.
  • From the DOP tower, teleport to the Khare crypts. You will find 234 gold alongside a jewel-studded medallion if you don't already own one. If you do already own one, you will find a Jewel of gold instead.

  • ZEN down Daddu-Ley
  • ZEN up the tree with the bees to collect a honeycomb and 2 portions of beeswax
  • ZEN when falling in the depths of the Schanker mine to survive unharmed
  • ZEN when in the snake trap in the Manticore lair to escape from it

Sorcery! 2[]

  • ZEN over the fence while chasing the pickpocket. However, Vangorn will grab you allowing the pickpocket to escape.
  • ZEN to let the girl who forgot her ladder back into her house
  • ZEN to try and escape the slave ship. However, the other prisoners will try to grab you, causing you to crash and take 1 damage instead.
  • ZEN down the well in the Fallen Quarter.
  • In theory you should be able to ZEN to leave the well in the Fallen Quarter. However, this sequence is bugged. First of all, if you use ZEN to get out, a rope ladder will magically appear in your inventory (the game forgets that ZEN was an option and simply assumes you went up your own rope ladder). Secondly, the option to use ZEN is only available if you have not explored the sewers - if you have, your character will simply remark that they have no way to get up, forgetting about ZEN (and if you left a ladder here, then the only way out is to use the ladder, though you will not get your ladder back in this case).

  • ZEN up the Ziggurat
  • ZEN over the portal trap in the shrine of Courga
  • ZEN over the North Gate without the spell lines and without Lorag bothering you

  • ZEN while fighting a giant bat
  • ZEN when attacked by the roachpig to win.
  • ZEN up to Elthera's cave
  • ZEN up to the first beacon
  • ZEN to escape the black elf caravan
  • ZEN to escape from Manata's snake pit
  • ZEN down from the bridge to the forest of Snatta if there is a hole in the bridge
  • ZEN up the Baddu-Bak ridge chute
  • ZEN up and down the pole in the Klatta-Bak Steppes
  • ZEN to escape the Bennanga trap
  • ZEN while trapped by the Klattaman craftsman to escape.
  • ZEN across the forest pool without getting wet
  • ZEN to try and reach the top of the forest beacon. However, you do not fly high enough.
  • ZEN when Fenestra casts MUD on you. This fails to save you.
  • ZEN to bring the ferryman's skeleton down
  • ZEN while fighting the earth Serpent to escape from the pit
  • ZEN on Lake Ilkalala to avoid getting tired or wet for a short while
  • ZEN when attacked by the big fish to avoid the encounter
  • ZEN when fighting the water serpent. This has no effect
  • ZEN when fighting the time serpent. This has no effect
  • ZEN while on the island with a beacon to either find the bottom of the beacon or just fly directly to the top.
  • ZEN up the beacon on the island
  • ZEN to reach the harbour in lower Xamen from the lake

  • ZEN while fighting the skunkbear in the middle cave. You will be thrown out of the cave.
  • ZEN while falling into the ravine to avoid death
  • ZEN while dropped into the ravine by birdmen to survive (though it is still painful)
  • ZEN if attacked by a birdman while on a rope ladder to survive the fall into the ravine
  • ZEN while on a ledge half-way up the ravine and a goblin has stolen your rope ladder. You will be able to go up or down the ravine but the goblin will be gone unless you did something else.
  • ZEN to escape the the cellar of the abandoned tavern
  • ZEN to sneak past the guard bat in the crater
  • ZEN while fighting the bat to kill it
  • ZEN to try to go over the Mampang wall. This fails due to birdmen.
  • ZEN to fly over the inner wall into the wheat field. However, you will be noticed and this will increase the threat level.
  • ZEN if you get executed by dropping you off a cliff. You can either fly back to the guards or into the wheat field.
  • ZEN while in the wheat field to see your surroundings. However, as you can already see the map, this serves little purpose.
  • ZEN when fighting the Jaguars in the treasury to deal 4 damage to the first before the spell expires.
  • ZEN to counter the ZAP spell from the guard captain in the warehouse
  • ZEN over the arrow trap in the vaults
  • ZEN over the poison trap in the vaults
  • ZEN to fly up and disable the poison trap in the vaults
  • ZEN before entering the BIG tower. This has no effect.
  • ZEN before entering the HUF tower. This means you get blown about for longer and take 3 damage.
  • ZEN over the skunkbear pit in the NIF tower
  • ZEN before trying to enter the YAZ tower. This has no effect.
  • ZEN in the YOB tower to reach the skull near the ceiling and loot 6 Giant's Teeth. This also allows you to cross the room without getting crushed by the giants.
  • ZEN in the FOG tower will prevent you from stepping on any spikes
  • ZEN before entering the SAP room. This has no effect.
  • ZEN in the FAL tower after having disabled it. You can cross and see the sigil on the ceiling.
  • ZEN over the bugs in the LAW tower
  • ZEN over the mines in the POP tower. You can reach the chest and/or cross the room.
  • ZEN while in jail to jump over the edge
  • ZEN can be attempted at the first Throben door curse, but has no effect
  • ZEN can be attemped at the 3rd Throben door curse but has no effect
  • TOP followed by ZEN allow you directly into the archmage's turret avoiding the Throben doors.
