The Pearl Ring is an item that allows a sorcerer to cast YAZ, rendering them invisible.

  • Sold by Oolooh. the exact price varies depending on your character. However, if you stop a shelf from falling over, he will offer you 33% off on the ring. Alternatively you can steal the ring while the shelf is falling, though oolooh will notice the ring is gone (you can then give it back or be branded a thief). Alternatively, you can steal the ring through some other means, such as casting NAP or GOD on Oolooh.
  • The burried thief owns one. If you unbury him and are female, he will propose to you and offer you his pearl ring. Alternatively, you can search him to retrieve the ring.

  • Sold by the hoofborn trader
  • Can in theory be looted from the black elf who you beat in a brawl in the tavern if you already own a Cloth Skullcap (which is the item you get if you don't already own one). However this reward is bugged and only triggers if you already own a ring.

  • YAZ when the bristlebeast attacks you to either kill it easily, or avoid it.
  • YAZ when Bria casts ZIP on you. This has no effect.
  • YAZ when encountering the butcher to either kill her (if you are ruthless or cruel), or leave, or climb into her cart.
  • YAZ while searching for the burried head. This has no effect.
  • YAZ to steal from Oolooh's shop
  • YAZ while escaping from the dark elves to avoid capture
  • YAZ at the Bennanga sign to get a combat bonus in the upcoming fight against the baby Baddu Beetle
  • YAZ to enter the Klattaman village undetected
  • YAZ while captured by the Klattaman craftsman to escape
  • YAZ at night by the fallen tree. This has no effect
  • YAZ if attacked by a snattacat at the fallen tree. But Snattacats hunt with their eyes closed so this has no effect; if you flee you take 2 damage, and if you try attacking twice you take 1 damage.
  • YAZ when encountering the snattacats at night. Unlike the other Snattacat, this does have an effect and allows you to avoid the encounter.
  • YAZ when encountering the HOT grimalkin. This has no effect as the grimalkin is an inanimate object that can't see you anyway.
  • YAZ when encountering the water serpent. This has no effect.
  • YAZ on the time serpent's island.This has no effect: the time serpent can see you anyway.

  • YAZ when encountering the spikehawk to avoid the fight
  • YAZ in the far cave. This has no effect since there isn't anything in here to see you.
  • YAZ when encountering Fynn the minimite. You can't cast spells near a minimite.
  • YAZ at the crater hut. You can get passed unnoticed, or get a free kill on one of the guards inside
  • YAZ when hunted by the birdmen in the crater to either avoid them or kill the first easily (but the second will discover your position)
  • YAZ when encountering the troop of guards in the crater to avoid them
  • YAZ the pass to get through it easily
  • YAZ at the main gate to get in or go back to the crossroads without being spotted. If you are hasty and try staying still, you will fail, make too much noise and be noticed (taking 2 damage unless you cast FOF)
  • YAZ in the merchant's cart to smuggle yourself into Mampang
  • YAZ the path to the sidegate to avoid being noticed along it
  • YAZ when the sleeping guard in the dormitary wakes up. He will go back to sleep.
  • YAZ when Filk tries to get you arrested to escape the guards
  • YAZ when encountering the red eyes to avoid them.
  • YAZ when encountering Molka. You can either leave or cancel the spell.
  • YAZ when trapped by guards in the warehouse. You can either escape or kill a guard and stab the captain, dealing 2 damage to her. However, the captain will then counter your YAZ spell (teaching you the YAZ/TEL counterspell) and you'll have to fight her
  • YAZ when encountering the slime eater to deal 3 damage to it, after which it will fight normally
  • put the ring back in the YAZ tower to make the tower go invisible
  • YAZ in the TEL tower to counter it.
  • In the SAP tower, if you got engaged to the thief and still have the ring, you will be mildly happier; if you got engaged but lost the ring you will be mildly unhappier.
  • YAZ when encountering the Samaritans to escape them. If you do not, then they will close the door and reveal themselves to you.
  • YAZ when encountering Cartoum to either kill him or escape
  • YAZ below the Throben doors to avoid being spotted climbing the steps
  • YAZ the third Throben door. This has no effect
  • Cast YAZ, NAP and DIM on Flanker to counter the crown of king's effect on him.
