Chief Proseus is a character in Sorcery!: The Shamutanti Hills. He is an elder Svinn man, father to princess Tia of the Svinn village Torrepani.

Biography[]

Background[]

Proseus is the Chief of Torrepani and father to Princess Tia.

Help Wanted[]

The Analander will first hear of Proseus from Glandragor, who warns them that the Chief of Torrepani will try to persuade them to save his daughter when they had that way, further explaining that she has been carried off by goblin marauders and was left in a dark cave as a sacrifice to a deadly manticore.

When the Analander arrives to Torrepani, they may converse with the locals, who will explain the situation with Tia further. Eventually, however the Analander spends time in Torrepani, they will be hauled off forcefully by Svinn villagers to spend the night in a locked hut.

Hero's Duty[]

After the Analander awakes the next day, or stays awake, they will be dragged off once more, this time to the Chief's Hut. Arriving, Chief Proseus will begin by apologizing for their rough treatment, and wave for them to be brought food. Chief Proseus will eventually offer them the choice of saving his daugher or death, but not by Svinn hands, they will be thrown to the manticore in hopes they save the princess anyways. If the Analander acts friendly and accepts the quest from the start, they may converse with him further, they may bring up goblins, which will result in the Chief getting teary-eyed and explaining that the Svinn were never friends of the Goblins, but they were never enemies like this before, confusing him to as why they suddenly care about the manticore now. He will offer a reward for saving Tia regardless of the Analander's stance.

Celebration[]

After the Analander has defeated the manticore and saved the princess, Chief Proseus himself will lift them out of the bucket-elevator used to retrieve both them and Tia, and offer his thanks, inviting them back to Torrepani to celebrate.

If The Analander accepts, they will spend the day celebrating and eventually sleep in Torrepani.

Awaking the next day, Chief Proseus will greet them, thanking them once again handing them a pouch containing ten gold pieces, and the key to the south gate of Kharé. The Analander will also trade the emeralds they may have found in Schanker Mines for 24 gold pieces.
